I’ll bet that Santa is still thinking, “Oops.”

I, too, love quotes. I’ll share three of my favorites. The first one is “a ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are for” – John A. Shedd. The second is from the movie Bounce and is “it’s not brave if you’re not scared.” The third is also from a movie. This one is from Don Juan de Marco (a GREAT movie if you’ve not seen it) and I’ve been a little paraphrastic with it…”never surrender to the momentum of mediocrity.” Oh, and there’s one more if I might…”the difference between an ordeal and an adventure is attitude”. That was said about my best friend/sister-in-law Connie at her memorial.

I, too, love quotes. I have a book of them which I’ve collected over the years but cannot locate since I moved. So, this is from memory, and may not be competely accurate. But I have a few I’ll share if I might! “A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are for” – John A. Shedd. “It’s not brave if you’re not scared” – Buddy in the movie Bounce. “Don’t surrender to the momentum of mediocrity” – the psychiatrist (sorry, can’t remember the character’s name) in the movie Don Juan de Marco (a great movie if you haven’t seen it). And lastly “the difference between an adventure and an ordeal is attitude” – this was said about my best friend/sister-in-law, Connie, at her memorial service.
